Have you ever been scrolling through images of Kate Middleton and Prince Williams wedding and thought to yourself I wish I had a very small plastic version of this?

If you have, then you are in luck. Multiple pristine condition Barbie dolls of the royal couple are available on the online marketplace eBay, for the low price of £300.

While this might seem like an eyewatering amount for a set of royal toys, there is a reason for their high cost.

Firstly, there are two separate listings for the slightly unnerving collector's items, both in “new” condition and both around the same price.

Both are also located in the US, one listing in New York and the other in Anaheim, California.

So if you were looking to reenact the 2011 royal wedding in your own home, you would also have to pay a fair chunk of change on postage and packaging on top of the costly £300 asking price.

The two figurines are dressed in the outfits they wore on their big day, forever frozen in time as a newlywed couple.

It also comes with a tiny replica wedding ring.

According to Good Housekeeping, the British public spent an estimated £163 million on memorabilia produced to mark the Duke and Duchess’s union.

While Barbies may seem like fun and games, royal memorabilia can be a shrewd investment.

The Sun reported that a doll set had been sold for £85 back in 2018, this means it has gone up by more than 300% in the past 4 years, a good return on any investment.

Often rarity is the dictates the value of a piece of royal memorabilia with less produced items fetching thousands at auctions across the country.

Events can also push up the price of these kinds of pieces, with Good Housekeeping giving its top 5 best bits of William and Kate paraphernalia to invest in back in 2014 in anticipation of the birth of Princess Charlotte.

This included: Aston Martin DB6 MK11 in Seychelles blue model car which is William and Kate’s wedding car in miniature.

Only 50 were produced and it was accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

This is likely much more valuable now than it was when it was first produced.

If you are interested in investing or just desperate to recreate the royal wedding you can find the dolls available for sale here.
