Royal Family: This is the Queens favourite supermarket and its not Marks and Spencer or Sainsb

Most of the time, the lives of the Royal family seem completely different to our own. Especially when you know that the Queen employs someone to wear her shoes for her before she does, and that someone is employed just to change the clocks in Buckingham Palace.

Especially when you know that the Queen employs someone to wear her shoes for her before she does, and that someone is employed just to change the clocks in Buckingham Palace.

But sometimes, we get a glimpse of normality from the famous family.

And this is one of those times, as it turns out that the Queen has a favourite supermarket, and it might turn out to be one you go to all the time.

Sure, we’re not saying she pops on her Birkenstocks and heads to the 24-hour Tesco, but a report by Hello has revealed all of the food shops in London that have a Royal Warrant.

This means that these companies have been approved especially to supply food and other goods to the Queen’s household.

The warrant lasts five years only and then has to be renewed.

Most of the food stores with a Royal Warrant are about as posh as you would imagine, but there’s one supermarket only that made the cut.

The Queen’s favourite supermarket? You guessed it, Waitrose.

In fact, Waitrose’s warrant dates back to 1928, as it supplied groceries to King George V.

Queen Mary also loved a bit of Waitrose, as the supermarket stocked her favourite soap.

And the royal love of Waitrose hasn’t faltered. Now, Waitrose as a Royal Warrant as Grocer and Wine & Spirit Merchants to Her Majesty the Queen.
