On Monday’s episode of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Lala Kent had a breakdown that led to her breaking up with her now-fiance Randall Emmett. The reality star took to Instagram to explain her state of mind at the time.
During a trip to Solvang with her girl friends, Lala confided in the ladies that she and Randall decided that she should give up drinking due to the person she becomes when it hits her. She also tearfully explained to Stassi Schroeder that since the sudden death of her father she doesn’t feel the same.
Kent and her dad were best friends until he passed away last year. She revealed that Randall has been taking care of her in every aspect since then. Unfortunately, when she returned from Solvang, she found Emmett drunk and disoriented which angered her to the point where she broke things off with him.
As you probably already know, the break up didn’t last long because the two are now engaged and shooting for a 2020 wedding. The 29-year-old took to Instagram to explain why this meltdown was part of a bigger picture.

The SUR hostess shared a photo of her late father alongside a caption that read: “Tonight you will see a small part of the pain I feel since my dad passed away. I think about him every minute of everyday. I cry often. I still call his phone and leave a message. I do whatever I possibly can to feel peaceful. There is so much that I want to tell him. And even tho I know he sees me and I know he is close, the selfish part of me wants to scream and yell and say that’s not good enough. I want to see his face. I want to hear his voice. I know tonight’s episode may get more attention for my “break up” with Rand, rather than how I am dealing with the death of my father. But it’s important for me to tell anyone who is going through such devastation, this- you are not alone. Your pain is real and it is foreign. You are not judged for how you choose to seek comfort. I’ve learned that the passing of my dad will never be something that gets easier with time. My heart will never be whole again. My life will always feel emptier than before- but each day I will find new ways to cope a little better. I’ve questioned my beliefs often. I believe there is a higher power looking after me for the mere fact that I’m still breathing after such great loss. ”

Grief can make you act like a completely different person. Hopefully, Lala has found a healthy way to cope with her feelings.
