Influencer Jackson Mahomes reacted to a candid open letter Kayla shared Monday on her Instagram page, in which she addressed “backlash and embarrassment” amid Kelce’s burgeoning romance with Taylor Swift.

Jackson posted three black heart emojis in the comments section of Kayla’s post.

Jackson and Kayla struck up a friendship while she dated the Chiefs tight end, 34, on and off from 2017 to 2022.

The two appeared in a number of TikTok videos together, which showed them dancing at Yankees Stadium in 2021 and lip-syncing to a Moneybag Yo song in 2020.

Kayla, a social media influencer, model and on-air host, has been dragged into the news as Kelce and Swift rumors continue to dominate headlines.

Although she did not name her ex or his new love interest in Monday’s video, Kayla did encourage her followers not to “participate in this tumultuous, often one-sided journey” and to not “engage.”

Jackson’s comment came after Kayla unfollowed the Chiefs quarterback and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, on Instagram following a string of hangouts between Brittany and the pop megastar, 33.

Kayla and Brittany’s friendship runs deep as she and Kelce were in the Mahomes’ wedding party last March.

Kayla nor Brittany has addressed speculation surrounding the friendship dynamics.

On Monday, Kayla addressed her open letter to “Black women, specifically,” and explained that her goal was “not to create division but to elevate and unite women.”

“They may call you a traitor for falling in love,” Kayla began. “You’ll hope the ones closest will protect you, but you will quickly find out that people don’t protect what they don’t value.

“They’ll say you’re too much, too provocative, too boisterous, too outspoken, and in the same breath, tell you that you’re not enough, not successful enough, not wholesome enough, maybe not even intelligent enough.

“They’ll say you deserve the backlash and embarrassment because of your Blackness, you should’ve known better. They’ll even try to tie your value to your net worth.

“Your value is in your resilience, your willing to forgive, the way you protect what means most to you, even if it hurts you along the way, and the way you stand up for what means most to you, even though they may not ever do the same.”

Kayla went on to explain that there is no need to participate in the negative and “give into this demoralizing and antiquated narrative.”

“Preserve your heart even when they try to quantify your character and test your boundaries,” she said. “You do not have to engage. You do not have to respond. Because there is power in your silence, and you can use that same power to silence the noise and the self-doubt.”

Kayla added that sometimes she asks herself, “Why me?” and reminds herself that she is enough.

The model suggested leaning on resources, such as therapy, community and prayer, during challenging times.

“When the world gets dark and time gets hard and you feel like your back is against the wall and your hands are tied and nobody knows what it’s like to be you… this is only a small chapter in your story.”

Kayla received a multitude of supportive messages from NFL WAGs, media members and celebrities.

LSU basketball star Angel Reese wrote, “From one black girl to another, THANK YOU for speaking up for us! This was beautiful! Always walk with grace & God because that’s all that matters!”

Singer Normani, who is dating Seahawks star DK Metcalf, added, “Beautifully said queen.”

Kayla shared her letter not long after Kelce’s other ex, Maya Benberry told the Daily Mail in September that Swift should “be smart,” alleging that the tight end is a “cheater.”

Benberry was a contestant on Kelce’s 2016 E! reality dating show, “Catching Kelce.”
