General Hospital spoilers reveal Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) hasn’t been a practicing attorney for years, but she yearns to rejoin the ranks of her best gal pal, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).
When Diane brought up the potential for her to get Alexis’ bar license reinstated, the Editor-in-Chief was all ears, while still understanding it would be an incredibly heavy lift.
But if anyone can do it, it’s Diane. The idea of being back in the courtroom makes Alexis’ head spin. Right now, she may think she’s eager to get back to serving the people of Port Charles, but as Diane inches closer to making this pipe dream a reality, Alexis may have some rather surprising second thoughts.
General Hospital Spoilers — Appeal Away!
Diane is intent on getting her best friend back in the courtroom where she can rightfully wipe the floor with her, but it’ll be quite an undertaking first to get her license back in black.
Right now, Alexis isn’t getting her hopes up, but Diane thinks nothing is out of reach. The play by play in Alexis’ office at The Invader was nothing more than entertainment for Alexis.
She predicts that, while Diane is uber talented, her efforts to even be granted an appeal on Alexis’ case will be denied. So when the opposite happens, Alexis could panic.
GH Spoilers Hint Alexis Loses Her Nerve
It was one thing to talk about this hypothetically. Alexis would love to be a lawyer again. She would love to work with her bestie and be partners at law — but does that remain true even if she wants to maintain her career in journalism?
She has taken up a new mantle, and she’s rather good at it. Besides, there are rules she finds it easier to abide by in the publishing world. At the same time, this venture would get her out from under Nina Reeves Corinthos’ (Cynthia Watros) thumb, but at what cost?
Diane will question whether Alexis really wants to practice law again after she is less than enthused by the good news that the appeal was green-lighted.
General Hospital Spoilers — A Change of Heart
All of these years, Alexis thought she was angry and bitter over having lost her license to practice law. In reality, she couldn’t stand that her own poor choices led to that conclusion.
Hanging herself out to dry in an attempt to spare Neil Byrne (Joe Flanigan) was just one of many examples of Alexis putting a man before her own best interests.
While she has vowed to never go down that path again, she still paid dearly for trying to save his career — with her own. Was it just the loss of the option alone all that has had Alexis twisted up in knots all of this time?
And will Diane bringing her closer to getting that right to practice law restored be all that Alexis needs to know it’s not where she belongs anymore? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this storyline plays out.
