As the third protagonist in the relationship between Shakira and Gerard Pique, Clara Chia has been in the eye of the storm since her relationship with the ex-footballer was uncovered.

It was even recently reported that the 23-year-old suffered an anxiety attack due to the stress caused by the success of Shakira's song with Bizarrap.

According to Univision, Chia has sought refuge not only from Pique but also from her parents and friends.

The way Clara Chia's family refers to Shakira

Chia's parents support their daughter's relationship with the former Barcelona defender, according to Silvia Taules, of Vanitatis.

According to sources close to the young woman's family, Pique's in-laws have not paid much attention to Shakira's song in which she refers to Clara Chia.

"They don't find it funny, that's clear, but they don't care much," the source says.

However, they are concerned about the repercussions on their daughter after the viral song, and both her parents along with Chia's entourage refer "disparagingly" to Shakira as "Pique's ex".

"They did not expect Gerard's ex to do what she has done, but this way she is the one who portrays herself," Taules quotes Chia's friends. "Clara has never said anything nor will she say it, of course, she is a lady."

Clara Chia and her family have taken Shakira's song with Bizarrap as a joke

Despite the commotion caused by the BZRP Music Sessions Vol.53, the young woman and her close people have "taken the much talked about the song as a joke".

"They are more bothered by the press reports about her than by what Shakira's music says," said sources.

"The harassment of the press, not being able to move freely, that bothers her, but what a song says, that's even funny," they added.

They also said that emotionally, the young woman is "calm and happy" and "her day-to-day life is the same as always".

The new in-laws, delighted with Pique

Although Chia's parents have not commented on their daughter's relationship, they are said to be happy.

"Clara's parents already know Pique and 'are delighted' with the 'son-in-law,' Taules added.

"We are talking about a 'cule' family, very attached to the Catalan identity and very fond of soccer."
